WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE
- When arriving at the range, you will be greeted by one of our friendly staff.
- Purchase a t-shirt to shoot or upgrade your package with additional ammo.
- One of our staff will assist in completing your waiver form and checking your Photo ID, then provide you with hearing and eye protection.
- While the Range Officer is loading your magazines to prepare your experience, you can walk around our 3,000 sq ft retail store or hang out in our Lounge Area viewing the range.
- The Range Officer will find your party and cover some safety points before entering the Range.
- Now you are ready to shoot, have fun and be safe!

Do I need a License or Membership?
No, no License, PAL or membership are required to Buy a Range Package. Our membership is for licensed persons wishing to make us their club facility.
Do I need my own guns?
No, we offer a Variety of Shooting Packages that include Firearm use, Ammunition and Instruction from one of our knowledgeable Range Officers.
What should I wear?
It is recommended that low-cut shirts or open-toed shoes are not worn while shooting due to the temperature of empty brass leaving the firearm.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, you must book your shoot in advance here.
Can my kids shoot too?
Yes, we allow Shooters from the age of 12 to 112! Shooters from the ages of 12-18 must be supervised by a Parent or Guardian at all times and Proof of Guardianship is required.
What should I bring?
The most important thing to remember is your Government Issued Photo ID. This is mandatory and required you to fill out paperwork prior to your shooting experience.
Can I buy more ammunition to add to a package?
Yes, your appointment is booked we ensure there is always enough time afterward to add any additional ammunition for the firearms you enjoyed the most.
What should I wear when visiting the Range?
No open-toed shoes are allowed on the range. For your safety, it is recommended that you do not wear tank tops or other low-cut tops exposing bare flesh, shorts or high heeled shoes on the range. Remember: You are trying to keep HOT brass from touching your skin! Recommended wear – A regular T-shirt, hoody or long sleeve shirt, shorts or pants.
Can I walk in and shoot a package without an appointment?
We appreciate anyone wanting to shoot here at the Range. We do encourage appointments be made ahead of time in order to guarantee you have the best possible experience we can provide and that there are available lanes.
Can I come to the Range alone?
We encourage the buddy system for all first timers, and all new to the sport. We recommend shooting in a group setting and require a minimum of two people per group. No single shooters. No exceptions.
- No range pack participants will be allowed to shoot as a single. Lane rentals can be booked as a single with valid PAL.
Will there be someone there to assist me if I’m an inexperienced shooter?
Yes. We have highly trained Range Officers available at all times and there will be a Range Officer present at all times for the safety, supervision and instruction of your visit.
Can I shoot fully automatic weapons at The Range and what is the largest Calibre I can shoot?
No you cannot shoot fully automatic weapons at the range. Our backstop is second to none and any calibre or gauge you own can be shot at our facility.
Do I need to bring my own hearing and eye protection when I visit the Range?
If you are shooting one of our Range Packages, we provide the hearing and eye protection at no charge.
Can I bring my own firearms to The Range as a non member?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own firearms to the Range Mon-Fri 10am-7pm. You will need to make an appointment and you can do that at www.utrange.com
Are the guns and ammunition at the range real?
Yes they are real guns and ammunition. Our catch line is Real guns,Real bullets, Real fun
Can I share or split a shooting package?
All of our packages are designed and intended for use bY 1 person and cannot be split up.
Can I load the guns in my package?
No. In order for us to ensure we remain the safest range in Canada, all firearms will be loaded by your range safety officer.
Can I still shoot handguns even though the Federal Government has banned them?
YES. The government has banned the sale, transfer and importation of handguns in Canada. We are still able to shoot any and all handguns that are available on the Range.
Can I take pictures and video while at The Range?
Absolutely! Unlike most indoor range facilities, we actually encourage you to take photos and videos while you are with us.
How many shooting lanes does The Range have?
Our main Range has 7 lanes more than enough to handle both small and larger bookings and to provide our guests with the Best shooting experience in Canada.
Cancellation Policy
Effective December 1st, 2020, all changes to your range booking must be made 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time. Any changes or cancellations made within 24 hours of your designated range booking time will result in The Range @ Urban Tactical reserving the right to withhold payment or deny any requested change.
